We are looking for
A strategic and execution-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join Vilnius Žalgiris and become the operational backbone of the club.
This is a newly created role within the club’s structure - designed to bring clarity, discipline, and operational excellence across all ongoing projects and initiatives.
You will be the central axis of operations, ensuring that strategy turns into execution, budgets stay controlled, and teams move in alignment.

Own operational excellence. Oversee and coordinate all key projects across the club, ensuring deadlines, priorities, and resources are aligned
Oversee budgeting and financial discipline. Monitor budgets, track performance, optimize cost structures, and ensure financial clarity across the organization
Translate strategy into action. Work closely with the key stakeholders to turn vision into structured operational plans with measurable outcomes
Act as the central connector. Align internal teams and ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration
Improve efficiency and scalability. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements that allow the club to grow sustainably
We expect you to
Have strong experience in operations management, business management, or executive leadership roles
Demonstrate solid financial literacy - comfortable working with budgets, forecasting, cost control, and performance metrics
Be highly structured and process-oriented, yet adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment
Bring a true business mindset - able to balance ambition with discipline
Be a hands-on doer, not just a strategist. Someone who takes ownership and moves things forward
Have strong leadership and communication skills, capable of aligning diverse teams around common goals
Be comfortable in a startup-like culture - flexible, solution-oriented, and decisive
Experience in sports organizations is a plus, but strong operational background is essential
Salary
Gross salary range is 3000 - 4000 EUR/month.
